In a word, Insipiring.
I got there at 11:00, found a spot for my stuff, set up, and started touring around. The Noir guys were pretty cool. I won one of their T-Shirts, and they mentioned they need some web development work done (which just happens to be what i do for a living), so we'll see where that goes. The talk about ASCII art was surprisingly interesting. Coming from an 3ReeT IRC Ha}{or background myself, it was a nice blast into the past. Union's panel was very helpful, informative, and inspiring. It's great when level headed people can tell you exactly what your industry wants. The oil painting demonstration was not so much my thing, but I really enjoyed the 'panel' on the death of the pencil and rise of the computer.
The atmosphere was really amazing. Here i was in a room full of strangers, yet somehow i found everyone to be very easy to talk to. I had something in common with nearly every person i engaged in conversation (nearly 2 dozen). Today was an experience i will not soon forget, and I'm sure that tomorrow will be even more betterer
- Kev
P.S. I would probably be drawing right now if i weren't running on 34 hours without sleep. 9:00? goodnight all. See you tomorrow.
